Pet Urine stains can be tricky to remove. Wool carpets, your best spotter is white vinegar, stay away from resolve, woolyte and other over the counter spotters, they have a tendency to set in stains and bleach wool fibers. for synthetic fibers, such as polyester, nylon, and olefin, Hydrogen peroxide is your best friend. Pour 3% hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle and lightly mist over the spot until fully covered in the solution. wait 5 minutes, then lightly blot spot until excess liquid is removed. For stains that do not come out with the treatment, be sure to call a professional. the wrong choice of chemical could potentially cause damage to your carpets.

The best all purpose home spotter in my opinion is white vinegar. Mix it in a spray bottle 50% water 50% vinegar. lightly spray the area, Let it dwell for 1-5 minutes. Take a white terry cloth and blot the spot until all the soil is transferred onto the towel. Repeat if necessary. I have used this method for years on spots in my home. Works well on mineral based soils especially.
